Simple Aronia Salad
Quick & Easy Aronia Salad
I tried a new twist on this salad by adding some aronia berries I had on hand. It’s a simple recipe using ingredients you likely already have. This version offers a different flavor profile compared to using other fruits.
Ingredients- 1 can corn, drained
- 5 sticks imitation crab meat, shredded or chopped
- 1/2 bowl aronia berries (fresh or frozen)
- 100g non-cholesterol mayonnaise (or regular mayonnaise)
- 1 handful optional additions (onion, fruit, nuts, etc. as desired)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, thoroughly drain the canned corn. Shred or chop the imitation crab meat into bite-sized pieces. Rinse the aronia berries if fresh, or have your frozen ones ready. Combine the drained corn, prepared crab meat, and aronia berries in a large bowl. It’s incredibly simple!
Step 2
Now it’s time to add the mayonnaise. Add about 100g of mayonnaise. I prefer using non-cholesterol mayonnaise for health reasons, but regular mayonnaise works perfectly fine too. The key is to add just enough to lightly coat the ingredients, not so much that it becomes soupy.
Step 3
Gently toss everything together until well combined. Your delicious salad is ready! Feel free to customize it by adding a handful of finely chopped ingredients like onions, apples, grapes, or nuts such as walnuts or almonds for extra texture and flavor. Enjoy this nutritious and effortlessly prepared aronia salad!
