Main Ingredients- Pork Belly (thinly sliced/Samgyeopsal) 100g
- Young Radish Kimchi (Yeolmu Kimchi) 1/3 cup
- Lettuce 5-8 leaves
- Freshly Cooked Rice 2 bowls
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add the thinly sliced pork belly. It’s important to cook it until crispy, allowing most of the fat to render out. This step ensures a savory flavor without being greasy.
Step 2
Wash the lettuce leaves thoroughly under running water and pat them dry. Chop them into bite-sized pieces for easier mixing.
Step 3
In a large bowl or a bibimbap bowl, add the chopped young radish kimchi. Then, add the crispy pork belly, which has been cut into bite-sized pieces with scissors after draining the excess fat. Add the prepared lettuce as well.
Step 4
Place two bowls of freshly cooked, warm rice on top of the ingredients.
Step 5
Add 1 tablespoon of bibim sauce over the rice. If you don’t have bibim sauce, store-bought gochujang can also be used for a delicious result. Adjust the amount to your preference.
Step 6
Finally, drizzle 1 tablespoon of fragrant sesame oil. Now, using two spoons, mix all the ingredients thoroughly until well combined. Your mouthwatering pork belly bibimbap is ready to be enjoyed!
