Main Ingredients
  • 5-6 leaves of aged, well-fermented kimchi
  • 3 steamed cabbage leaves (palm-sized)
  • Roasted seaweed sheets
  • Dried radish (muchimyeolchi)

Fillings & Seasoning
  • 1 stick of imitation crab meat (surimi)
  • 1 boiled egg
  • 1 Tbsp mayonnaise

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Rinse the aged kimchi gently under cold water to reduce its sourness, then squeeze out any excess moisture. Prepare the cabbage by steaming it until tender. Once steamed, it’s helpful to cut the cabbage into bite-sized pieces.

Step 2

Now, let’s assemble the wraps! Place your chosen fillings on top of the kimchi leaves and roll them up. For the steamed cabbage, wrap it to be easily enjoyed with a side of ssamjang (Korean dipping sauce). For the dried radish, roll it like a mini kimbap, creating a perfect finger food.

Step 3

Prepare the filling. Shred the imitation crab meat into bite-sized pieces. Mash the boiled egg and mix it thoroughly with 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise. Placing this crab and egg mixture on top of your kimchi wraps will create a richer flavor profile.
