Main Ingredients
  • 1/4 head of cabbage (approx. 200-250g)
  • 1/2 carrot (approx. 50g)

Seasonings & Others
  • 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic (5g)
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil (or cooking oil)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, wash the cabbage thoroughly under running water. Carefully cut out the tough core. Then, separate the leaves and chop them into bite-sized pieces, about 3-4 cm wide. Peel the carrot and cut it into thin matchsticks.

Step 2

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil (or cooking oil) in a pan over medium heat. Add the julienned carrots and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes. Lightly sautéing the carrots brings out their sweetness and enhances their color.

Step 3

Once the carrots are slightly tender, add the chopped cabbage and minced garlic to the pan. Increase the heat to medium-high and stir-fry quickly to maintain the cabbage’s crispness. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the cabbage becomes slightly translucent, then season with salt and black pepper to your liking, stirring to distribute evenly. Be careful not to overcook the cabbage until it becomes too mushy!
