Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Hello everyone! Today, I’ve got a recipe for a Tofu Hot Pot that’s incredibly simple yet delicious. As you can see, the ingredients are straightforward, making it easy for even beginner cooks to follow. It’s the perfect dish to go with a glass of soju!

Step 1

Step 2

Let’s start by preparing the vegetables. Slice the onion into thin strips and cut the green onion diagonally. Mince the garlic finely for better flavor distribution. Cut the tofu into bite-sized pieces. Pretty simple, right?

Step 2

Step 3

Now, arrange all the prepared ingredients in a pot! Place the beef, sliced vegetables, tofu, and king oyster mushroom so they are nicely layered and not overlapping. This not only makes it look appealing when cooked but also ensures even cooking.

Step 3

Step 4

It’s time to add the broth and seasonings! Pour 3 cups of water into the pot. Add 1 packet of the soft tofu stew seasoning mix, 1 tablespoon of tuna extract (or soy sauce for soup), a pinch of sugar, and a pinch of black pepper. Since this recipe is so easy, these seasonings are key to the flavor, so feel free to adjust them to your taste after tasting.

Step 4

Step 5

Once all ingredients and seasonings are in, cover the pot and bring to a boil over medium heat. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes, or until all ingredients are cooked through and the broth has slightly reduced. Just before serving, drizzle in a little sesame oil and adjust the salt to your liking. Your delicious Tofu Hot Pot is ready to be enjoyed! Serve it warm.
