Main Ingredients- 1 carrot (small)
- 2 eggs
- 1 can (small) tuna
- A little chopped green onion
Seasoning- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp cooking wine (mirin or similar)
- Pinch of salt
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp cooking wine (mirin or similar)
- Pinch of salt
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, wash and peel the carrot. Julienne it into thin strips. Aim for thin strips so they cook quickly and become tender.
Step 2
Open the can of tuna and drain the oil thoroughly using a sieve. Draining the oil is key to a clean and light flavor.
Step 3
Crack the two eggs into a medium bowl. Add a pinch of salt and whisk well with a fork or whisk until the yolks and whites are fully combined, creating an egg mixture.
Step 4
Heat about 1-2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add the julienned carrots and a tiny pinch of salt. The salt here helps the carrots soften faster, so use just a small amount. Stir-fry until the carrots are tender and slightly softened.
Step 5
Once the carrots are cooked to your desired tenderness, add the drained tuna and the whisked egg mixture to the pan.
Step 6
Gently stir and break up the ingredients with a spatula or chopsticks, mixing the carrots, tuna, and eggs together as they cook. Ensure everything is evenly incorporated.
Step 7
When the ingredients are mostly cooked, add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of cooking wine. Stir well to coat everything and allow the flavors to meld.
Step 8
Finally, add the chopped green onions and stir briefly just to combine. Your delicious Tuna and Carrot Stir-fry is now ready to be served!
