Smoked Duck Stir-fry, Smoked Duck Vegetable Stir-fry, Duck Meat Recipe, Smoked Delicacy
While my husband and I usually prefer beef and pork, we occasionally enjoy a simple stir-fry with smoked duck and fresh vegetables. It’s a delightful way to savor the rich flavor of smoked duck complemented by the crispness of various vegetables, perfect as a satisfying side dish or a flavorful appetizer.
Main Ingredients- 230g Smoked Duck Meat
- 25g Green Onions (Scallions)
- 29g Red Bell Pepper
- 30g Yellow Bell Pepper
- 35g Onion
- 25g Whole Garlic Cloves
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Wearing disposable gloves, carefully separate the smoked duck meat pieces from the package. This ensures each slice is ready to cook without clumping.
Step 2
Prepare the whole garlic cloves by washing them and trimming the root ends. Cut each clove in half for better flavor distribution and easier cooking.
Step 3
Trim the ends off the red and yellow bell peppers, then slice them into thin strips about 2mm thick. Slice the onion into similar-sized pieces as the bell peppers. Cut the green onions into lengths comparable to the peppers as well, for a visually appealing and evenly cooked dish.
Step 4
Heat the olive oil in a spacious stir-fry pan over medium-low heat. Add the halved garlic cloves and stir them gently as they toast until golden brown and fragrant. This step infuses the oil with garlic aroma, enhancing the duck’s flavor.
Step 5
Once the garlic is nicely browned, add the separated smoked duck meat to the pan. Stir-fry for about 1 to 1.5 minutes until the duck is heated through and tender. This brief cooking allows the duck’s natural flavors to meld without overcooking.
Step 6
After the duck is tender, add the prepared bell peppers and onion to the pan. Increase the heat slightly and stir-fry quickly until the vegetables are crisp-tender and vibrant in color. Avoid overcooking to maintain their fresh crunch.
Step 7
Add the chopped green onions to the pan. Sprinkle in about 2 pinches of salt to season the vegetables and duck evenly. Stir gently to combine.
Step 8
Continue to stir-fry for just another 7-8 turns, allowing the green onions to slightly wilt but retain their freshness. Turn off the heat and stir a few more times, using the residual heat to finish cooking. This technique ensures the vegetables stay crisp and flavorful.
Step 9
Finally, sprinkle sesame seeds generously over the stir-fry. Your delicious and nutritious Smoked Duck and Vegetable Stir-fry is now ready to be served and enjoyed! It pairs wonderfully with a warm bowl of rice.
