Main Ingredients

  • 1 pack Smoked Duck Breast (approx. 300-400g)
  • 1 Onion
  • 1/2 Broccoli

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Let’s start by preparing the vegetables. Peel the onion and cut it in half, then slice it thickly into strips. Wash the broccoli thoroughly and cut it into bite-sized florets. Having these prepped beforehand will make the cooking process much smoother.

Step 1

Step 2

For this recipe, I’m using a pre-sliced pack of smoked duck breast. Nowadays, many smoked duck products come conveniently packaged, making them super easy to prepare. You can choose your preferred brand or thickness.

Step 2

Step 3

Now, get your air fryer basket ready. Start by laying the thick-cut onion slices evenly on the bottom. The onions will help absorb some of the duck’s fat and infuse it with their sweetness. Next, arrange the smoked duck slices on top of the onions, making sure they aren’t overlapping too much. Finally, scatter the broccoli florets over the duck. Feel free to add whole garlic cloves or your favorite mushrooms at this stage for an extra layer of flavor – it’s highly recommended!

Step 3

Step 4

Set your air fryer to 180°C (350°F) and cook for approximately 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, give the contents of the basket a good stir to ensure even cooking – think of it like tossing them. Then, continue to cook for another 5 minutes. This middle step of tossing or flipping helps to prevent any burning and ensures the duck is cooked through beautifully, becoming both tender and slightly crispy. You’ll soon smell that delicious aroma!

Step 4

Step 5

Voila! Your perfectly golden-brown smoked duck breast is ready. Enjoy the delightful contrast between the slightly crisp exterior and the succulent, tender interior of the duck, enhanced by the natural sweetness of the roasted vegetables. You can also add other vegetables you enjoy to roast alongside. Serve hot with honey mustard sauce or any other dipping sauce you prefer for an even more delicious experience. Enjoy your meal!
