  • Ingredient Category : Eggs / Dairy
  • Occasion : Quick & Easy
  • Cooking : Steamed
  • Servings : 1 serving
  • Cooking Time : Within 5 minutes
  • Difficulty : Anyone

Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1.5 tsp soy sauce
  • 100ml milk
  • 50ml water

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, crack 2 large eggs into a bowl. Use a whisk or chopsticks to beat the eggs until well combined and the stringy part of the egg white is broken. Avoid whisking too vigorously to prevent excessive foam.

Step 1

Step 2

Once the eggs are well beaten, add 1.5 teaspoons of soy sauce and mix thoroughly. This will provide the basic seasoning.

Step 2

Step 3

Now, add 100ml of milk (approximately 5 tablespoons) for a richer flavor and mix gently. The milk will make the steamed eggs exceptionally moist and tender.

Step 3

Step 4

Finally, add 50ml of water to adjust the consistency and mix everything together well. Your base for the steamed eggs is now ready.

Step 4

Step 5

Pour the prepared egg mixture into a microwave-safe container (such as a steaming dish or bowl). It’s safest to fill the container only about two-thirds full to prevent overflow during cooking.

Step 5

Step 6

Place the container in the microwave and cook for about 4 minutes and 30 seconds. Cooking times can vary slightly depending on your microwave’s power, so it’s a good idea to check on it periodically and adjust the time as needed.

Step 6

Step 7

Carefully remove the steamed eggs from the microwave once cooking is complete. Insert a chopstick or skewer; if it comes out clean, the eggs are done. If they are still a bit undercooked, microwave them in additional 30-second to 1-minute increments. Enjoy your perfectly fluffy and tender steamed eggs!
