Soft Banana Pancakes for Babies
Perfect for a 31-Month-Old: Sweet and Tender Banana Pancake Recipe
Introducing a banana pancake recipe that’s sweet, tender, and perfect for your 31-month-old! Made with simple ingredients, these pancakes are a quick and easy homemade treat, ideal for baby’s snack time.
Key Ingredients- 50g ripe banana (about half a banana)
- 50g fine rice flour
- 1 fresh egg yolk
- 80ml water
- 1 Tbsp cooking oil (for greasing the pan)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, measure and prepare all the necessary ingredients. In a wide and sufficiently sized bowl, combine 80ml of water and 50g of ripe, soft banana. Mashing the banana with a fork or masher beforehand will help it mix better.
Step 2
Next, add 50g of fine rice flour to the bowl. It’s recommended to sift the rice flour to ensure a smoother batter without lumps.
Step 3
Separate one fresh egg and use only the yolk. Add the single egg yolk to the batter. Using a masher or fork, thoroughly mash and mix the banana, rice flour, and water until well combined and smooth.
Step 4
As shown in the photo, it’s crucial to mix all the ingredients until they form a smooth, uniform batter without any clumps. Adjust the batter consistency; it shouldn’t be too thin or too thick.
Step 5
Use a very small amount of cooking oil for frying. Instead of pouring about 1 Tbsp of oil directly into the pan, lightly dampen a paper towel with the oil and then wipe the pan’s surface to create a thin coating. This method helps prevent the pancakes from burning or sticking.
Step 6
Set your stovetop heat to low to medium. Spoon the batter onto the preheated pan, a ladleful at a time, and cook until golden brown on both sides. These delicious banana pancakes are now ready! Consider making them in smaller sizes for your baby to handle easily.
