Soft Stir-Fried Dried Shredded Squid with Soy Sauce
Soft Stir-Fried Dried Shredded Squid with Soy Sauce Recipe: Tender Soy-Braised Dried Shredded Squid
This is a soy sauce-based stir-fried dried shredded squid recipe. The seasoning is mild, making it perfect for children to enjoy. The addition of mayonnaise ensures a tender and moist texture.
Ingredients- 200g dried shredded squid
- 3 Tbsp mayonnaise
- 3 Tbsp soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp oligosaccharide
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- A pinch of sesame seeds
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, cut the 200g of dried shredded squid into bite-sized pieces, about 3-4 cm long. Place the cut squid in a bowl and gently toss with 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise. Coating it with mayonnaise helps prevent the pieces from sticking together and makes the final dish much more tender when stir-fried. Letting it marinate for about 10 minutes will yield even better results.
Step 2
Heat a pan over low heat with a small amount of cooking oil. Add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, and 2 tablespoons of oligosaccharide. Stir the ingredients with a spatula for about 1 minute, gently cooking them to create the sauce base. Be careful not to burn the garlic or soy sauce. You can substitute corn syrup for oligosaccharide if preferred.
Step 3
Now, add the mayonnaise-coated dried shredded squid to the pan. Maintain low heat and stir-fry until the sauce is evenly distributed and well absorbed by the squid. Avoid high heat, as this can make the squid tough. Stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes.
Step 4
Turn off the heat. Drizzle in 1 tablespoon of sesame oil for added aroma and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Gently mix everything together with chopsticks or a spatula to finish. This delicious soy sauce-flavored dried shredded squid is ready! Serve it over freshly cooked rice or as a delightful snack for kids.
