  • Yam (Dioscorea polystachya) 150g
  • Carrot 1/2 medium
  • Cabbage 300g
  • Banana 1 medium
  • Water 200ml

Sweetener
  • Honey 1 Tbsp (or to taste)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, peel the yam and the banana. Cut them into manageable, bite-sized pieces (about 1-1.5 inches). If you find the yam’s sticky sap bothersome, you can briefly blanch the yam before peeling or wet your hands with water while cutting.

Step 2

Wash the cabbage leaves thoroughly under running water and remove the core. Chop them into pieces that are easy to blend (around 2 inches). Wash the carrot, peel it, and cut it into similar-sized pieces as the cabbage.

Step 3

If using a juicer: Place the chopped carrot and cabbage into your juicer and extract their fresh juice. If you don’t have a juicer, wash and peel the carrot, then grate it finely using a grater. The cabbage can be added directly to the blender later.

Step 4

Prepare your blender. Add the carrot and cabbage juice (or grated carrot and chopped cabbage) from the previous step into the blender. Now, add the prepared yam, banana, and 200ml of water. Blend until all ingredients are smooth and well combined. If the mixture seems too thick, you can add a little more water.

Step 5

Finally, add 1 tablespoon of honey for a touch of sweetness. Adjust the amount of honey according to your preference. Blend again briefly to ensure the honey is fully incorporated, creating a smooth and harmonious flavor. This step ensures all the ingredients meld beautifully.

Step 6

Pour the finished yam and cabbage juice into a glass. Enjoy immediately for the freshest taste and maximum nutrients. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consume within the same day for best results. This juice is a wonderful option for a quick breakfast or a healthy snack.
