Main Ingredients- Canned silkworm pupae 280g (drained)
- Whole garlic cloves 6
- Korean green chili peppers (Cheongyang) 2
Seasoning- Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes) 1 Tbsp
- Salt to taste (or Korean soup soy sauce)
- Water 250ml

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, thinly slice the whole garlic cloves. This will release their aromatic flavor into the stew.

Wash the Korean green chili peppers, remove the stems, and slice them diagonally. If you prefer more heat, you can leave the seeds in.

Heat a pot over medium heat, add a small amount of cooking oil, and sauté the sliced garlic until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic; sauté until it turns a light golden brown.

Once the garlic is fragrant, add the diagonally sliced chili peppers and stir-fry briefly with the garlic. This step adds a lovely spicy aroma to the broth base.

Now, add the drained silkworm pupae to the pot. Stir-fry them with the garlic and chili peppers for about 1 minute. This helps to remove any residual odor from the pupae and enhances their nutty flavor.

Pour in 250ml of water. You can adjust the amount of water to achieve your desired broth consistency.
