Spicy and Refreshing Kimchi Udon
Make Delicious Kimchi Udon for a Solo Meal!
I made this for a simple meal~
Main Ingredients- 3 strips well-fermented kimchi (approx. 200g)
- 1 pack udon noodles
- 800ml water
- 2 sheets fish cake
- A little green onion (to taste)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, pour 800ml of water into a pot. Finely chop the 3 strips of well-fermented kimchi and add them to the pot. The kimchi’s seasoning will add depth to the broth.
Step 2
Add 1 tablespoon of Tsuyu to create a base for the broth’s flavor. If you don’t have Tsuyu, regular soy sauce can be used as a substitute.
Step 3
Next, cut the 2 sheets of fish cake into bite-sized pieces and finely chop the green onion. Also, prepare 1 pack of udon noodles.
Step 4
Once the broth starts boiling, add 1 teaspoon of salt to season it. It’s best to adjust the amount of salt based on the saltiness of your kimchi. Taste and add more if it’s too bland.
Step 5
Add the prepared udon noodles to the pot and gently loosen them. It’s important to stir gently to prevent the noodles from clumping together.
Step 6
Add the 2 sheets of cut fish cake and let it simmer together. The fish cake will absorb the broth’s flavor, making it even more delicious.
Step 7
Finally, add the chopped green onion and simmer for a little longer. Once the noodles are cooked to your liking and the broth is well-seasoned, turn off the heat. Your delicious and spicy Kimchi Udon is ready!
