Main Ingredients

  • Dried Shredded Squid (Jinimchae) 200g (You can also use dried shredded octopus or cuttlefish according to preference)
  • A little cooking oil (for coating the pan)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Lightly grease a wide bowl or pan with cooking oil. Add gochugaru, gochujang, soy sauce, oligodang, minced garlic, and mayonnaise. Mix them well until the sauce is evenly combined. It’s important to loosen up any clumps in the sauce beforehand.

Step 2

Add the dried shredded squid to the prepared sauce. Gently mix and knead with your hands to ensure the sauce coats the squid evenly. Let it sit for about 2-3 minutes to allow the sauce to penetrate the squid.

Step 3

Transfer the sauced dried shredded squid to a pan heated over medium-low heat. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes, being careful not to burn it. The goal is to achieve a slightly chewy texture without making the squid too tough. Keep stirring continuously while cooking.
