Main Ingredients
  • 400g boneless chicken thigh meat
  • 1/2 medium sweet potato

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, wash the sweet potato thoroughly and peel it. Then, slice it thinly into half-moon or diagonal shapes, about 0.5 cm thick. Slicing them thinly will help them cook more evenly and quickly.

Step 2

Lightly rinse the chicken thigh meat under running water and pat it dry with paper towels. In a bowl, toss the chicken thigh meat with the store-bought marinade, ensuring it’s evenly coated. Let it marinate for about 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Step 3

Heat a lightly oiled pan over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken thigh meat and grill, turning occasionally, until golden brown on both sides. Be mindful of the heat to prevent the marinade from burning.

Step 4

When the chicken thigh meat is about 80% cooked and has a nice golden-brown color, add the sliced sweet potato to the pan with the chicken. The sweet potato will absorb some of the chicken juices as it cooks, adding another layer of flavor.

Step 5

Continue to cook for another 5-10 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked through and the sweet potato is tender. Flip occasionally to ensure even cooking and prevent the sweet potato from burning. Once the sweet potato is nicely browned and the chicken is cooked, remove from heat and serve immediately.
