Main Ingredients- 300g bean sprouts
- 1.5 Tbsp cooking oil
- 2 Tbsp minced green onion
- 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 Tbsp fish sauce (or anchovy sauce)
- 1 Tbsp red pepper flakes
- 1/3 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
- Pinch of sesame seeds
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, carefully pick through the bean sprouts, removing any loose skins or debris. Rinse them under cool running water 2-3 times until clean. Drain thoroughly in a colander – this is key to preventing a watery stir-fry.

Finely mince the white parts of the green onion for the aromatic oil. Slice the red chili pepper thinly on an angle for both color and a hint of heat.

Heat 1.5 Tbsp of cooking oil in a deep pan or wok over medium heat. Add the minced green onion and minced garlic.

Sauté gently, stirring occasionally, until the green onion and garlic are fragrant and softened, but not browned. This step builds a delicious aromatic base.

Just before turning off the heat, drizzle in 1 Tbsp of sesame oil and sprinkle with a pinch of sesame seeds for extra flavor and aroma. Give it a final toss.
