- Soup Soy Sauce (Guk-ganjang) 1 Tbsp
- Gochugaru (Korean Chili Flakes) 1 Tbsp
- Minced Garlic 1/2 Tbsp

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the ingredients. Peel the radish and slice it thinly into half-moons (about 3-4mm thick). Chop the scallions into 3cm lengths at an angle. Wash the bean sprouts and drain them.
Step 2
Heat 1 Tbsp of sesame oil in a pot over medium-high heat. Add the beef (shank or brisket) and stir-fry until the surface is lightly browned. Then, add the sliced radish and stir-fry together. Finally, add 1 Tbsp of gochugaru and stir-fry quickly to prevent burning, allowing the seasoning to coat the ingredients. Sautéing the chili flakes first will give the soup a beautiful color and a deeper flavor.
Step 3
Once the beef and radish are partially cooked, add the bean sprouts and scallions. Pour in 5 cups (approx. 1,000ml) of water. Bring to a boil over high heat. Covering the pot will help the broth simmer faster.
Step 4
Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low. Add 1 Tbsp of soup soy sauce and 1/2 Tbsp of minced garlic to season. Adjust the saltiness to your preference. Add a pinch of black pepper to eliminate any gamey odors and enhance the flavor. Let it simmer for a few more minutes to allow the flavors to meld together, and your delicious spicy beef and radish soup is ready! Enjoy it piping hot with a bowl of rice.
