Rice Seasoning- A little sesame oil
- A little salt
- A little sesame oil
- A little salt
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the rice for your kimbap. In a bowl of warm rice, add a little sesame oil and a little salt. Mix gently until well combined. It’s best to mix lightly to avoid clumping the rice grains.
Step 2
Place one sheet of kimbap seaweed on a clean surface with the rough side facing up. Spread the prepared rice thinly and evenly over the seaweed. Leave about a 1cm border along the top edge of the seaweed without rice; this will help seal the kimbap when rolled. Generously add your pre-made spicy stir-fried fish cakes onto the rice. The sweet and spicy sauce from the fish cakes will infuse the rice, adding wonderful flavor.
Step 3
Now it’s time to roll the kimbap tightly. Lift the edge of the seaweed closest to you and pull it forward while rolling, ensuring the fillings stay in place. Rolling firmly is key to prevent the kimbap from falling apart. Once rolled, use a sharp knife to cut the kimbap into bite-sized pieces. Enjoy your delicious Spicy Fish Cake Kimbap!
