Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, cook your delicious brown rice. Having it warm will be perfect for serving right away when the dish is complete.
Step 2
Remove the seeds from the green and red chili peppers and slice them diagonally about 0.5cm thick. Slice the green onion diagonally about 0.5cm thick as well. These vegetables will add color and a delightful aroma.
Step 3
Trim the ends of the bok choy and cut it into 2-3cm pieces. It’s helpful to separate the white stems from the green leaves, as they have slightly different cooking times.
Step 4
Pat the tofu dry thoroughly with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This step is crucial for achieving a crispy texture when pan-frying. Cut the tofu into 2-3cm cubes.
Step 5
Coat the tofu cubes evenly with potato starch. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add a generous amount of cooking oil. Carefully place the coated tofu in the hot oil and pan-fry until golden brown and crispy on all sides. This will enhance the texture and help the sauce adhere well.
Step 6
Push the fried tofu to one side of the pan. Add the white stems of the bok choy to the empty space and stir-fry briefly. Pour in all the prepared Spicy Honey Sauce ingredients. Mix everything together well, coating the tofu and bok choy evenly with the sauce. If the sauce becomes too thick, you can add a little water.
Step 7
Finally, add the sliced green and red chili peppers and green onions. Stir-fry for another moment until all ingredients are well combined. The key is to not overcook the vegetables, keeping them slightly crisp.
Step 8
Serve the warm brown rice in a bowl. Top generously with the delicious braised spicy honey tofu and vegetables. Your impressive one-bowl meal, the Spicy Honey Tofu Braise Rice Bowl, is now ready! Enjoy your meal.
