Main Ingredients- Prepared anchovies 90g (about 3 handfuls)
- Cheongyang peppers 8
- Whole garlic cloves 7
Seasoning- Soy sauce 2 Tbsp
- Oligosaccharide 1 Tbsp
- Gochugaru (Korean chili powder) 1/2 Tbsp
- Sesame seeds, for sprinkling
- Cooking oil, generous amount

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, thoroughly clean the anchovies by removing their heads, innards, and any sharp bones. Preparing them this way will result in a cleaner and softer texture when stir-fried.
Step 2
Slice the Cheongyang peppers diagonally or thinly according to your preference. Thinly slice the whole garlic cloves. If you enjoy extra spiciness, feel free to include the pepper seeds.
Step 3
Heat a generous amount of cooking oil in a pan over low heat. Add the sliced garlic and slowly fry until it turns golden brown. This process infuses the oil with a rich garlic aroma, enhancing the overall flavor of the anchovy stir-fry.
Step 4
Once the garlic is golden and fragrant, add the prepared anchovies and sliced Cheongyang peppers to the pan. Pour in 2 Tbsp of soy sauce and stir-fry until the seasonings are well absorbed into the anchovies.
Step 5
When the anchovies and peppers are partially cooked, add 1 Tbsp of oligosaccharide and 1/2 Tbsp of gochugaru. Quickly stir-fry to combine, adding a glossy sheen and a pleasant spiciness.
Step 6
Just before turning off the heat, sprinkle a good amount of sesame seeds over the top for a nutty aroma.
Step 7
Finally, give everything a quick toss to mix. Transfer the delicious spicy and savory anchovy stir-fry to a serving plate. Enjoy it with a warm bowl of rice!
