Ingredients

  • 1 set of Inari Sushi Kits (seasoned fried tofu pouches)
  • 210g Rice (approx. 2 servings from a standard pack)
  • 5 Imitation Crab Sticks (Kamaboko)
  • 7 Slices of Pickles
  • 2 Tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1/2 Tbsp Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Teriyaki Sauce
  • Dried Parsley Flakes (optional)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, shred the imitation crab sticks into bite-sized pieces. Shredding them gently along the natural fibers will help them absorb the seasoning better, making them tastier. -ㅅ-//

Step 2

Now, let’s season the shredded crab sticks. Add 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise and 1/2 tablespoon of sugar. Mix them together thoroughly to create your filling. =ㅅ=///

Step 3

Next, finely chop the 7 slices of pickles. The crunchy texture of the pickles will add a wonderful dimension to the inari sushi. ‘ㅅ’////

Step 4

It’s time to prepare the sushi rice. Place 210g of warm cooked rice (about two standard packs) into a bowl. Add the sushi vinegar and furikake seasoning from your inari sushi kit and mix well. Then, stir in 2 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce and the chopped pickles. Mix everything together thoroughly. ‘ㅁ’//// (Tip: To maintain the delicious sweetness of the fried tofu pouches, don’t squeeze out all the liquid. Leave about 10-20% of the moisture. This way, the rice will absorb the flavor and the overall taste will be perfectly balanced. So, avoid making the rice too salty. ㅎ’ㅅ’//)

Step 5

Now, we’ll gently squeeze the tofu pouches. Use the seasoned fried tofu pouches from your kit. Instead of squeezing out all the liquid, gently press them to retain some of the sweet, moist flavor. This will ensure the rice pairs beautifully with the tofu.

Step 6

Finally, it’s time to assemble the inari sushi! =ㅁ=/// Place the prepared tofu pouches upright in a dish. Generously fill each pouch with the seasoned crab stick mixture. Sprinkle a little dried parsley on top for a beautiful presentation and added flavor. ‘ㅁ’///ㅋㅋ And there you have it – delicious inari sushi, made so easily! ‘ㅅ’//
