Main Ingredients- 600g pork (thinly sliced for bulgogi)
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
- 2 Cheongyang peppers (finely chopped)
- 1/2 stalk green onion (sliced)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, pat the pork slices dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. In a bowl, combine the gochujang, soy sauce, rice wine, sugar, corn syrup, black pepper, minced garlic, grated ginger, and finely chopped Cheongyang peppers to create the marinade. Stir well to ensure everything is evenly mixed.
Step 2
Add the prepared pork to the marinade and mix thoroughly with your hands, like gently massaging the meat. You can cook it right away, but for an even richer flavor, let it marinate in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes. This allows the flavors to penetrate the meat beautifully.
Step 3
Meanwhile, wash the chives and cut them into 3-4 cm lengths. Thinly slice the onion. In a separate bowl, combine the cut chives and sliced onion. Add sesame oil, chili powder, and sesame seeds, then gently toss to combine. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the chives mushy.
Step 4
Heat a pan over medium heat. Spread the marinated pork evenly in the pan. Cook, flipping the pork occasionally to prevent the sauce from burning, until it’s cooked through. Once the pork is almost done, add the sliced green onions and stir-fry them together with the pork.
Step 5
Arrange the cooked gochujang pork bulgogi and the refreshing chive salad on a plate. Serve immediately and enjoy this delicious homemade dish with a bowl of warm rice! It’s a truly satisfying meal.
