Spicy and Sweet Chicken Stew Recipe

Main Ingredients- Hwa Dak Jjageuli Meal Kit (1 pack)
- Water (3 cups, approx. 600ml)
- Cabbage (1 handful, approx. 50g)
- Onion (1/4 medium)
- Cooked White Rice (1 bowl)
- Seaweed Flakes (for garnish, a pinch)
- Sesame Oil (1 Tbsp)
- Toasted Sesame Seeds (for garnish, a pinch)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the chicken ingredients from your Hwa Dak Jjageuli meal kit. Place the chicken in a pot and begin to cook it over low heat. Once the chicken starts to release some of its natural oils, carefully pour in 3 cups (approximately 600ml) of fresh water. Increase the heat to high and bring the water to a rolling boil.
Step 2
Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium and let the stew simmer until the liquid has reduced to your desired consistency. When the sauce has thickened somewhat, add the handful of cabbage and the quartered onion, chopped into bite-sized pieces. (If your meal kit includes other vegetables or minced garlic, feel free to add them for extra flavor!) Continue to simmer until all the vegetables are tender. Towards the end of cooking, if your kit contains chili powder, stir it in to enhance the savory and spicy notes.
