Main Ingredients- Vienna sausages 300g
- 1/2 Onion
- Small amount of Carrot
Sauce- 2 Tbsp Ketchup
- 1.5 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Gochujang (generous)
- 2 Tbsp Oligodang (Corn Syrup)
- Pinch of Black Pepper
- 2 Tbsp Water
- 2 Tbsp Ketchup
- 1.5 Tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 Tbsp Gochujang (generous)
- 2 Tbsp Oligodang (Corn Syrup)
- Pinch of Black Pepper
- 2 Tbsp Water
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the vegetables. Dice the onion or slice it into 1/2 cm thick pieces. Cut the carrot into similar-sized pieces (around 1 cm). For the Vienna sausages, score them lightly with a knife 2-3 times; this helps the sauce penetrate better and makes them look appealing. You can also blanch them in boiling water for a softer texture.
Step 2
Heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the carrots and stir-fry until they start to become slightly translucent. Then, add the onions and the scored Vienna sausages to the pan. Stir-fry everything quickly over high heat until the vegetables soften and the sausages turn lightly golden brown.
Step 3
Now, add all the prepared sauce ingredients to the pan and stir-fry until everything is well combined. Mix together 2 tablespoons of ketchup, 1.5 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of gochujang (make it a generous spoonful!), 2 tablespoons of oligodang, a pinch of black pepper, and 2 tablespoons of water. Continue to stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce evenly coats all the ingredients. This simple Vienna Sausage Stir-Fry is now ready to be enjoyed! It’s perfect served over rice or as a lunchbox side dish.
