- 1 Tbsp Oligodang (corn syrup)
- 1 tsp Sugar (granulated)
- 0.5 Tbsp Minced garlic
- A pinch of Toasted sesame seeds (for sprinkling)
- A dash of Sesame oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare one pack of salad greens. Wash them thoroughly under running water and pat them dry. If the greens are too large, feel free to cut them into bite-sized pieces.

Step 2
Boil the somyeon noodles in plenty of boiling water. Stir occasionally to prevent them from sticking. Turn off the heat once the noodles are cooked to your liking.

Step 3
Rinse the boiled somyeon noodles several times under cold water to remove excess starch, then drain them completely in a colander. This step ensures the noodles are chewy and don’t become mushy.

Step 4
Now, let’s make the delicious bibim sauce. In a bowl, combine 1.5 Tbsp gochujang, 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar, 1 Tbsp oligodang, 1 tsp sugar, and 0.5 Tbsp minced garlic.

Step 5
Mix all the sauce ingredients thoroughly with a spoon until well combined. Your delicious bibim sauce is now ready.

Step 6
In a wide, shallow bowl, arrange the drained somyeon noodles attractively. You can swirl them to make them look even prettier.

Step 7
Top the noodles with a generous amount of the washed and dried salad greens. The crisp texture of the greens will enhance the dish’s flavor.

Step 8
Arrange the prepared boiled whelks over the greens. The chewy whelks add a delightful texture to every bite.

Step 9
Drizzle the prepared sweet and sour bibim sauce evenly over the whelks and greens. Finish with a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds and a dash of sesame oil for added aroma and flavor.

Step 10
Now, toss everything together with chopsticks until well mixed, and enjoy your hearty and delicious Whelk Bibim Guksu! Enjoy your meal!
