  • Gochujang (Korean chili paste) 2 Tbsp
  • Sugar 0.5 Tbsp

Cooking Instructions

First, gently separate the Jjolmyeon noodles if they are clumped together. Soak them in cold water for about 30 minutes to soften them up. Then, bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the noodles for 5 minutes. After cooking, rinse them thoroughly under cold running water to remove any excess starch, which will make them wonderfully chewy.

Wash the fresh lettuce leaves carefully under cool running water. Gently pat them dry or shake off excess water, and then chop them into bite-sized pieces. The crisp texture of the lettuce will add a refreshing crunch to your Jjolmyeon.

Now, let’s prepare the delicious sauce! In a small bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of Gochujang, 0.5 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of vinegar, and 0.5 tablespoon of sesame oil.
