Ingredients

  • 3 sheets of square fish cakes
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil (1 Tbsp + 1 Tbsp)
  • 1/2 stalk of green onion (scallion)
  • 2 small onions
  • 1 tsp garlic powder OR 3-4 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds

Cooking Instructions

Heat 1 Tbsp of olive oil in a wide pan over medium heat. Add the thinly sliced green onion and onions. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and sauté until fragrant. (Tip: For enhanced flavor, sautéing garlic at this stage is highly recommended. If using fresh garlic, add it now.)

Once the green onions and onions have softened and become translucent, add the fish cakes that have been cut into thin strips. Stir-fry them together, making sure to toss them frequently to prevent sticking.

If you couldn’t add fresh garlic earlier, stir in the garlic powder now. Alternatively, add minced garlic at this point. Adjust the seasoning with salt if needed. Generously sprinkle in black pepper and toasted sesame seeds for a nutty aroma.
