Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, crack 3 eggs into a clean bowl. Season them with a pinch of salt. Whisk the eggs thoroughly with a fork or whisk until well combined and smooth. If you prefer a slightly sweeter taste, you can add about 1/2 teaspoon of sugar.
Step 2
Add the finely chopped cabbage, onion, green onion, and carrot to the beaten eggs. Mix everything together until the vegetables are evenly coated with the egg mixture. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a pan over medium-low heat. Pour the egg and vegetable mixture into the pan, shaping it into a circle or square roughly the size of your bread slices. Cook until golden brown on both sides.
Step 3
Prepare your bread slices. Spread a generous layer of sweet strawberry jam on one side of each slice. On the other side, spread a mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise, ideally in a 1:1 ratio. If you don’t have mayonnaise, ketchup alone provides a delicious flavor.
Step 4
Place the cooked egg and vegetable patty on the sauced side of one bread slice. Top it with the other bread slice, sauce-side down, to complete your delicious street toast! Slice in half for easier eating and enjoy while warm. For an extra touch of flavor, you can drizzle a little more ketchup on top.
