Super Simple! 5-Minute Microwave Steamed Eggs
Microwave Recipe for Soft and Fluffy Steamed Eggs in Just 5 Minutes
You can make a delicious steamed egg dish in just 5 minutes with this microwave recipe. The inside will be incredibly soft and delicate. Enjoy a perfectly fluffy texture without a steamer!
Main Ingredients- 2 Eggs
- 1/5 Zucchini
- 1/5 Carrot
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, thoroughly wash the zucchini and carrot, remove the seeds, and dice them into small cubes, about 0.5cm thick. You can also julienne them, but dicing offers a better texture.
Step 2
In a ttukbaegi (Korean earthenware pot) or a microwave-safe bowl, crack the 2 eggs and whisk them gently, avoiding too much foam. Add the diced zucchini and carrot. Finely mince the 1 tsp of shrimp paste and add it to the mixture. The shrimp paste will season the dish and add a savory umami flavor.
Step 3
Pour in the 200ml of kelp broth and 1 Tbsp of cooking wine. Stir everything together evenly until well combined. The cooking wine helps to eliminate any eggy smell and enhances the flavor. Lightly cover the bowl with a lid or plastic wrap, and microwave for about 3 to 4 minutes. (Adjust cooking time based on your microwave’s wattage.)
Step 4
Once the steamed egg has puffed up and the top looks cooked, it’s ready! Carefully remove it from the microwave, let it cool slightly, and enjoy the wonderfully moist and silky texture. It’s a perfect side dish for children or a quick, satisfying snack!
