Super Simple Guacamole Recipe: Perfect for Sandwiches and Dipping!
5-Minute Guacamole Made with Fresh Avocados – The Best Sandwich Filling!
Introducing the easiest guacamole recipe ever, blending the creaminess of ripe avocados with the crunch of onions and the freshness of tomatoes. It’s perfect as a sandwich spread and also fantastic served with chips or crackers.
Key Ingredients
- 1 ripe avocado
- 6 cherry tomatoes
- 1/4 small onion
- 0.5 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 0.5 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp honey
- Salt to taste
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, wash and prepare your onion and cherry tomatoes. Finely dice the onion, and for the cherry tomatoes, remove the seeds and chop them into small pieces. The smaller you dice the vegetables, the better the texture of your guacamole will be.
Step 2
Cut the ripe, soft avocado in half. Insert a knife along the pit and twist gently to easily separate the pit from the flesh.
Step 3
Now it’s time to remove the pit. Stick the blade of your knife into the pit and give it a gentle twist to easily dislodge it. Peel the avocado skin off with your hands, keeping only the flesh.
Step 4
Place the peeled avocado flesh into a bowl. Using a fork or a mashing tool, gently mash the avocado, leaving some small chunks for texture. Avoid mashing it completely smooth; a little bit of bite is preferable.
Step 5
To prevent the avocado from browning, add 0.5 Tbsp of fresh lemon juice and mix lightly. Lemon juice also adds a pleasant tartness to the guacamole.
Step 6
Add the finely diced onion and cherry tomatoes to the bowl. Then, stir in 0.5 Tbsp of extra virgin olive oil and 1 tsp of honey. Mix everything thoroughly until well combined.
Step 7
Finally, taste and adjust the seasoning with salt. If you’d like it sweeter or tangier, you can add a little more honey or lemon juice to your preference. Find your perfect flavor balance!
Step 8
Voila! Your delicious guacamole is ready in an astonishingly short amount of time. Enjoy it with freshly toasted bread or tortilla chips!
