- Soup Soy Sauce (Guk-ganjang) 1 Tbsp
- Sugar 1 Tbsp

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, in a pot, add Dashida and dried anchovies (or kelp), pour in water, and let it simmer to create a flavorful broth. While the broth is simmering, slice the sausages and Spam into bite-sized pieces (about 1cm thick, half-moons or cubes). Slice the zucchini into 0.5cm thick half-moons, and thinly slice the onion.
Step 2
Once the broth is ready, add all the prepared ingredients – sliced sausages, Spam, zucchini, and onion – into the pot. Then, add Gochujang (1/5 Tbsp), Soup Soy Sauce (1 Tbsp), Sugar (1 Tbsp), and Minced Garlic (1 Tbsp). Stir well to combine all the ingredients and seasonings evenly.
Step 3
If you prefer a spicier kick, add the diagonally sliced Cheongyang pepper at this stage. Once all ingredients are in, bring it to a boil over medium heat, and your delicious sausage stew will be ready! This stew has a flavor profile somewhere between Budae Jjigae (Korean army stew) and Gochujang Jjigae (chili paste stew), making it universally appealing. It’s a fantastic option for a simple yet satisfying meal or a delightful accompaniment to your favorite drink.
