Easy and Delicious Stir-Fried Pork Belly Recipe
This is an incredibly easy stir-fried pork belly (Daepae Samgyeopsal) recipe. It’s quick, flavorful, and perfect for any occasion!
Main Ingredients- 500g thinly sliced pork belly (Daepae Samgyeopsal)
- 2 stalks of green onion, chopped
- A pinch of toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
Seasoning- 1.5 Tbsp soy sauce
- 0.5 Tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 Tbsp cooking wine (like Mirin)
- A pinch of black pepper
- 1.5 Tbsp soy sauce
- 0.5 Tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 Tbsp cooking wine (like Mirin)
- A pinch of black pepper
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, heat a frying pan over medium heat. Add the 500g of thinly sliced pork belly (Daepae Samgyeopsal). If the slices are too long for your preference, you can cut them into bite-sized pieces (about 5-7 cm). Cook the pork belly, stirring occasionally, until it’s golden brown and has rendered some of its fat. If there’s excessive oil, you can carefully dab it with a paper towel.
Step 2
Once the pork belly is nicely browned and cooked through, add the chopped green onions. Stir-fry them with the pork belly for about 1-2 minutes until they become slightly softened and fragrant. Adding green onions helps to cut through the richness of the pork and adds a lovely aroma.
Step 3
Now it’s time to add the flavor! In one side of the pan, combine the soy sauce (1.5 Tbsp), sugar (0.5 Tbsp), cooking wine (1 Tbsp), and a pinch of black pepper. Stir the ingredients to mix them well. Let the sauce bubble and thicken slightly for about 1-2 minutes, mixing everything together with a spatula so the sauce coats the pork and green onions evenly. Feel free to adjust the amount of soy sauce or sugar to suit your taste.
Step 4
Finally, just before turning off the heat, sprinkle a pinch of toasted sesame seeds over the dish for a nutty flavor and visual appeal. Give it one last quick stir to combine. Your delicious stir-fried pork belly is ready! This dish is wonderful served over a bowl of hot rice or enjoyed as a lettuce wrap. Enjoy your meal!
