Hello everyone! Today, I’m sharing a recipe for ‘Pizza Toast’ that’s incredibly simple yet boasts a stunning appearance and delicious taste. It might seem like a basic dish, but this pizza toast has a magical appeal that everyone, from kids to adults, will love. Shall we make it together right now?
Main Ingredients- 3 slices of bread (for toast)
- 1/3 carrot
- 1/2 onion
- 1/2 green bell pepper
- 1/2 luncheon meat or canned ham
- A little cooking oil
Sauces & Seasonings- A little mayonnaise
- A little ketchup
- A pinch of salt
- A pinch of pepper
- A little mayonnaise
- A little ketchup
- A pinch of salt
- A pinch of pepper
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s prepare the vegetables. Thinly slice the onion along the grain. Finely julienne the carrot to a similar thickness as the onion.
Step 2
Julienne the green bell pepper into bite-sized pieces. For the luncheon meat or ham, instead of slicing, it’s best to dice it into small cubes so it can be spread evenly over the bread.
Step 3
Now, preheat a pan with a little cooking oil. Sauté the sliced onion until it becomes translucent. Add the julienned carrot and green bell pepper, season lightly with salt and pepper, and stir-fry them together.
Step 4
Once the vegetables release their sweet aroma and are somewhat cooked, add the diced ham and stir-fry. When the ingredients are well combined, stir in the tomato ketchup and cook for a bit longer until the flavors meld.
Step 5
Next, let’s prepare the toast. Spread a mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise, or spread them separately, onto the bread slices according to your preference. Applying the sauce thoroughly will make the bread moist and enhance its flavor.
Step 6
Generously pile the sautéed vegetable and ham mixture onto the sauce-spread bread slices! Don’t be shy; filling it generously makes it look even more appetizing.
Step 7
After topping with the sautéed vegetables, sprinkle an abundant amount of mozzarella cheese on top. That gooey, melted cheese visual is always a winner!
Step 8
Finally, garnish with a sprinkle of dried parsley. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and melted. If you don’t have an oven, you can microwave it for about 2 minutes. (The vegetables are already cooked, and the bread is safe to eat as is, so we just need to melt the cheese!)
