This is a special meal that everyone from kids to adults will love.
Key Ingredients- Tomato sauce 2.5 ladlefuls (approx. 300ml)
- Heavy cream 3.5 ladlefuls (approx. 420ml)
- Curry powder 2 tsp
- Potato 2/3 medium
- Mushroom 1/4 (e.g., button, king oyster)
- Carrot 1/3 medium
- Onion 1/2 medium
- Ground pork 150g
- Olive oil 1 Tbsp
- Vegetable oil 1 Tbsp
- Fine chili powder 1/2 tsp (optional, for a spicy kick)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare the vegetables for the dish. Wash the potato, mushroom, carrot, and onion thoroughly. It’s best to finely dice them into bite-sized pieces. The smaller you dice the vegetables, the faster they will cook, shortening your cooking time. Chop them finely, similar to how you would for fried rice.
Step 2
Get a wide pan and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Heat the pan over medium-low heat, then add the diced vegetables. Sauté them until they start to turn translucent. Sautéing allows the natural sweetness of the vegetables to come out fully.
Step 3
Once the vegetables are somewhat cooked, push them to one side of the pan or temporarily remove them. Add the ground pork and cook until it turns grayish-white. Once the pork is cooked, mix it well with the sautéed vegetables and continue to stir-fry. It’s important to break up the pork as it cooks so it doesn’t clump together.
Step 4
When the ground pork has completely lost its pink color and turned uniformly grayish, pour in the prepared tomato sauce and heavy cream. Add them slowly using a ladle, controlling the amount. Stir continuously to prevent the sauce from burning.
Step 5
As the sauce begins to simmer and bubble in the pan, it’s time to add the curry powder. Add 2 teaspoons of curry powder and quickly stir with a spatula or whisk to ensure it dissolves without lumps. You can adjust the amount of curry powder to achieve your desired consistency.
Step 6
Once the sauce has melded with the ingredients and thickened to your liking, your delicious Rose Curry is complete! Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed. If it’s too thick, you can add a little water or milk. If you prefer it spicy, stir in 1/2 teaspoon of fine chili powder at this stage.
Step 7
Ladle the finished Rose Curry generously over a bowl of warm rice. For a beautiful presentation, sprinkle with parsley flakes if desired. Enjoy the fantastic blend of creamy rose sauce and deep curry aroma. It’s also incredibly delicious mixed with rice!
