Ingredients
  • 2 Bell Peppers (use different colors for a vibrant look!)
  • 2 Eggs
  • A pinch of salt (just a dash!)
  • A sprinkle of sesame seeds (a little sprinkle!)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

First, thoroughly wash the bell peppers. Carefully remove the stem and seeds, then slice them into approximately 3cm pieces. Cutting them into bite-sized pieces makes them easier for children to eat.

Step 2

Heat a frying pan over medium-low heat with a suitable amount of cooking oil. Place the sliced bell peppers in the pan first and let them cook. Lightly sautéing the bell peppers will enhance their natural sweetness and soften them.

Step 3

Once the bell peppers are slightly tender, carefully crack an egg into the hollow center of each bell pepper slice. Be gentle to avoid breaking the yolk. Sprinkle a pinch of salt over each egg to season.

Step 4

Cover the frying pan with a lid and cook over low heat until the eggs are set to your liking. This method ensures the yolks remain wonderfully soft while the whites cook evenly. Cook to your preferred doneness, whether sunny-side up or fully cooked.

Step 5

Once the eggs are cooked, sprinkle some sesame seeds over the top for a nutty aroma and flavor. Neatly trim any excess bell pepper edges around the egg with a knife. Transfer the beautifully prepared Bell Pepper Fried Eggs to a plate and enjoy this delightful dish! It’s a fantastic meal or snack for children.
