Bingsu Base Ingredients- 1 Bingsu machine ice mold (pre-frozen)
- 3 regular ice cubes
- 1 portion of chewy rice cakes (your choice)
- 1/2 cup strongly brewed coffee or espresso
- 1 crispy biscuit (Lotus recommended)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, thoroughly wash and prepare your bingsu machine. Hygiene is important!
Step 2
Cut the chewy rice cakes into bite-sized pieces for easy eating. Cutting them into appropriate sizes is recommended, as they can be difficult to eat if too large.
Step 3
Take out the pre-frozen bingsu machine ice mold from the freezer. The ice needs to be firmly frozen to shave finely.
Step 4
Since bingsu melts quickly while being made, we’ve prepared 3 extra ice cubes to go in first. These ice cubes will make the bingsu base richer.
Step 5
Place the bingsu machine ice mold and the 3 regular ice cubes into the bingsu machine and shave them finely. The key is to get a texture like soft snow ice.
Step 6
Arrange the cut rice cakes nicely on top of the finely shaved ice. Rice cakes are an important ingredient that adds chewy texture to the bingsu.
Step 7
Now it’s time for the star ingredient of coffee bingsu: the coffee. Pour the strongly brewed coffee or espresso evenly over the bingsu to add its deep flavor.
