Main Ingredients- 200g Chamdeurim Rice (premium Korean variety)
- 50g Granulated Sugar
- 100g Fresh Heavy Cream
- 4 Tbsp Oligosaccharide
- 3 Tbsp Honey
- 300ml Water
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare 200g of Chamdeurim rice, the star ingredient of this recipe. This is a special Korean rice variety known for its excellent quality.
Step 2
Gently rinse the prepared rice 1 to 2 times under cold water until the water runs clear. This step removes any dust or impurities from the rice grains.
Step 3
Add 300ml of water to the washed rice and let it soak for about 30 minutes. Soaking the rice helps it to blend smoothly and reduces cooking time.
Step 4
Measure out 4 tablespoons of oligosaccharide and 3 tablespoons of honey. These will add sweetness and a lovely sheen to your rice spread.
Step 5
Have ready 100g of fresh heavy cream for a creamy texture and 50g of granulated sugar for sweetness. The heavy cream will make the spread rich and luxurious.
Step 6
Transfer the soaked rice along with the 300ml of soaking water into a blender. Blend until the mixture is very smooth, ensuring no large rice grains remain. A smooth consistency is key for a good spread.
Step 7
Pour the blended rice mixture into a pot. Cook over very low heat, stirring constantly, until the rice breaks down and the mixture thickens slightly. Be sure to stir frequently to prevent sticking to the bottom of the pot.
Step 8
Once the rice has broken down and the mixture has started to thicken, add the heavy cream, sugar, honey, and oligosaccharide. Continue to cook over low heat, stirring continuously, until the spread reaches your desired thick and creamy consistency. Keep a close eye to prevent burning. Enjoy your homemade sweet rice spread!
