Pizza Dough Ingredients- 150g Old Pumpkin (peeled and deseeded weight)
- 1/4 Onion (small size)
- 1 Egg
- 2 Tbsp Corn Kernels
- 1/2 paper cup Flour (approx. 50g)
- 2 slices Seoul Milk Emmental Cheese
- A little Water (for adjusting dough consistency)
- Adequate amount of Cooking Oil or Butter (for frying)
Seasoning- A pinch of Salt (adjust to taste)
- A pinch of Salt (adjust to taste)
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, thoroughly peel and deseed the old pumpkin, then thinly julienne it. Julienne the onion to a similar thickness. Cut the Seoul Milk Emmental Cheese slices into two pieces each.
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine the julienned old pumpkin, onion, corn kernels, and one cracked egg. Add the flour (1/2 paper cup) and a pinch of salt. Mix everything together until well combined.
Step 3
Gradually add a little water while adjusting the dough’s consistency. Aim for a slightly thick consistency that can be spread thinly on the pan without being too runny. Use a spatula to mix all ingredients evenly.
Step 4
Heat a pan over medium-low heat and generously coat it with cooking oil or butter. Ladle a portion of the prepared dough onto the pan and spread it thinly into a round shape, like a pizza crust.
Step 5
Continue cooking over medium-low heat until the bottom of the dough is golden brown. While the bottom cooks, ensure the top is set, meaning you can poke it with a chopstick and no wet batter sticks. Flip and cook the other side until golden brown as well.
Step 6
Once one side is fully cooked, place one slice of the prepared Seoul Milk Emmental Cheese on one half of the cooked dough. This will prepare the cheese to melt.
Step 7
Fold the other half of the cooked dough over the cheese to create a half-moon shape. Gently press down to prevent the cheese from oozing out too much. Cook over low heat for a short while longer until the cheese is completely melted and gooey. Your delicious old pumpkin pizza is now ready!
Step 8
Alternatively, for a crispier texture or as a snack, you can ladle smaller portions of the dough onto the pan. Cook both sides until golden brown, creating pizza bites or crackers.
Step 9
Place a slice of Seoul Milk Emmental Cheese on top of these smaller, crispy pizza bases. Once the cheese melts completely and melds with the dough, you’ll have a delightful finger food or snack pizza. Perfect for enjoying with children!
