Main Ingredients- 200g square fish cakes (eomuk)
- 1 green bell pepper
- 1/2 onion
Seasoning Ingredients- 0.5 Tbsp sugar
- 1.5 Tbsp soy sauce
- 0.5 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp corn syrup (or rice syrup)
- Pinch of black pepper
- Pinch of sesame seeds

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Cut the square fish cakes into bite-sized pieces (about 2-3 cm). If you prefer, you can briefly blanch them in boiling water to remove excess oil, then drain. Wash the bell pepper and onion, remove the seeds from the pepper, and julienne both into similar lengths and thickness (about 0.5 cm).

In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic (0.5 Tbsp), sugar (0.5 Tbsp), corn syrup (1 Tbsp), and soy sauce (1.5 Tbsp). Stir well until the sugar is dissolved to create the seasoning sauce. This balanced sauce is key to the delicious flavor!

Heat 1 tablespoon of cooking oil in a non-stick pan over medium-low heat. Add the julienned onion and stir-fry for about 5 minutes until it becomes translucent. Sautéing the onion first will bring out its natural sweetness.
