Main Ingredients
  • 1 medium-sized fresh apple
  • 4 slices of soft bread
  • Butter (to taste for cooking)

Flavor Enhancers
  • 1 Tbsp sugar (for sweetness)
  • Pinch of cinnamon powder (to taste)
  • Pinch of Parmesan cheese (optional, for a savory touch)

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Prepare one ripe apple. You can choose your favorite variety.

Step 2

Wash the apple thoroughly, then cut it into four wedges. Carefully remove the core from each wedge. Slice the apple wedges into about 0.5 cm thickness. In a bowl, toss the apple slices with 1 tablespoon of sugar and a sprinkle of cinnamon powder. Mix well to coat.

Step 3

Place a frying pan or saucepan over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and let it melt. You’ll notice a wonderful aroma as the butter heats up.

Step 4

Add the seasoned apple slices to the pan and sauté for about 2 minutes. Be careful not to overcook them, as they can become too mushy.

Step 5

Sauté the apples just until they are slightly tender but still retain a bit of crispness. Cooking them briefly will bring out their natural sweetness.

Step 6

Cut the bread slices in half. If serving to children, you might want to cut them into smaller pieces.

Step 7

In a separate non-stick frying pan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over low heat.

Step 8

Once the butter is melted, place the bread slices in the pan. Grill them, flipping occasionally, until they are golden brown and toasted on both sides. The goal is a crispy exterior and a soft interior.

Step 9

Arrange the warm caramelized apples generously on top of the toasted bread slices.

Step 10

Finish with a light dusting of Parmesan cheese, if desired. This adds a delightful savory note that complements the sweet and tangy apples. Enjoy your delicious caramelized apple toast!
