Simple and Delicious Beef Seaweed Soup Recipe

Main Ingredients- Beef (for soup) 75g
- Dried Seaweed 4 handfuls (approx. 20g)
Seasoning & Others- Soy Sauce 4 Tbsp
- Sesame Oil 1 Tbsp
- Salt or Soup Soy Sauce 1 tsp (for seasoning)
- Minced Garlic 1 Tbsp
- Water 5-6 cups (1L-1.2L)

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, soak the dried seaweed in cold water for about 15-20 minutes until fully rehydrated. Rinse the rehydrated seaweed thoroughly with clean water to make it soft and remove any grit.
Step 2
Gently squeeze out excess water from the seaweed and cut it into bite-sized pieces (about 2-3 cm wide). Pat the beef dry with paper towels to remove any excess blood, then slice it into long, thin strips, similar in length to the seaweed.
Step 3
In a pot, combine the cut seaweed and the sliced beef.
Step 4
Add 4 Tbsp of soy sauce and 1 Tbsp of sesame oil. Stir with a spatula or spoon over high heat and sauté for about 3-5 minutes until the beef and seaweed are fragrant. This step deepens the flavors of the ingredients.
Step 5
Once the ingredients are well-sautéed, pour in 5-6 cups (1L-1.2L) of water and bring to a rolling boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 10-15 minutes, allowing the seaweed and beef to become tender. Skim off any foam or impurities that rise to the surface for a clearer broth.
Step 6
Season the soup with 1 tsp of salt or soup soy sauce. It’s best to start with 1 tsp and adjust the taste according to your preference.
Step 7
Finally, add 1 Tbsp of minced garlic and continue to simmer over medium-low heat for another 2-3 minutes. Your delicious Beef Seaweed Soup is ready! Enjoy it hot for the best flavor.
