Ingredients

  • 500g chicken wings
  • 200ml Bukko Coconut Milk Premium
  • A generous handful of baby greens
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 handful of garlic
  • 1 handful of cashews
  • 2 Tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 Tbsp perilla powder
  • 2 stalks green onion

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Wash the chicken wings thoroughly under running water to remove any impurities. Wiping off any blood or residue will ensure a clean, fresh taste without any gamey odors.

Step 2

Place the washed chicken wings in a bowl and sprinkle them with salt for seasoning. Let them marinate for about 10 minutes; this allows the wings to absorb the flavors, resulting in a more tender and delicious dish.

Step 3

Wash the green onions and cut them into roughly 2-3 cm pieces, separating the white and green parts. Peel the carrot and cut it into bite-sized pieces, similar in size to the chicken wings. Since the vegetables will soften when cooked, cutting them slightly larger is fine.

Step 4

You can leave the garlic cloves whole, or for a richer aroma, slice them thinly into rounds (julienne). Slicing the garlic allows its fragrance to infuse beautifully into the oil, deepening the dish’s overall flavor.

Step 5

Lightly crush the cashews so that they still have a bit of texture when bitten into, rather than finely powdering them. The nutty crunch will add another layer of enjoyment to the chicken wings.

Heat a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Then, add the marinated chicken wings and stir-fry until they are lightly browned on all sides. Cover the pan and reduce the heat to low, allowing the wings to cook through and become tender, about 5-7 minutes.

Once the chicken wings are nearly cooked, add the chopped carrots and green onions. Stir-fry over medium-high heat for a short time to keep the vegetables crisp and fresh.

Finally, stir in 2 Tbsp of perilla powder and the prepared cashews. Mix everything together until well combined. The nutty aroma of the perilla seeds and the crunch of the cashews will complete this delicious dish.
