Place the pot with the sauce mixture over medium heat and bring it to a boil. Once the sauce is simmering, add the thinly sliced 1/2 onion. Cook together for about 3-4 minutes, or until the onion becomes translucent. This step helps the onion soften and release its natural sweetness.

When the onion is about halfway cooked, add the chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces (about 120g), to the pot. Stir gently to ensure the chicken is submerged in the sauce.
