Clams are rich in vitamins and minerals, known to benefit skin health and blood sugar levels. They’re also excellent for combating fatigue, making them a perfect choice for hot summer days! Enjoy the delightful combination of everyone’s favorite seasoned clam salad and the sweet and tangy bibim naengmyeon sauce.
Main Ingredients- 30g cooked clam meat
- 1/2 stalk green onion (approx. 10cm long)
Clam Seasoning Sauce- 1 Tbsp Nongshim Cham Sauce (or 1 Tbsp soy sauce + 1/3 Tbsp vinegar + 1/2 tsp sugar)
- 1/2 Tbsp gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
- 1/2 tsp sugar (adjust to taste)
- 2 pinches sesame seeds
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp Nongshim Cham Sauce (or 1 Tbsp soy sauce + 1/3 Tbsp vinegar + 1/2 tsp sugar)
- 1/2 Tbsp gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
- 1/2 tsp sugar (adjust to taste)
- 2 pinches sesame seeds
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients for today’s special naengmyeon. If using pre-cooked clams, simply extract the meat. Wash the green onions thoroughly under running water.
Step 2
Finely chop the washed green onions, including both the white and green parts, into small pieces (about 0.3cm thick). This will be used as a garnish, so aim for a delicate chop.
Step 3
If your clams are not pre-cooked, bring a pot of water to a boil and blanch them in their shells for 1-2 minutes. Be careful not to overcook, as they can become tough. Once blanched, rinse under cold water and carefully extract the clam meat.
Step 4
In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients for the clam seasoning sauce. Add the Cham Sauce (or the soy sauce, vinegar, and sugar mixture), gochugaru, sugar, sesame seeds, and sesame oil. Whisk everything together until well combined to create a flavorful clam seasoning.
Step 5
Drain the clam meat thoroughly in a sieve. Add the drained clam meat to the prepared seasoning sauce and gently mix. Be careful not to break the clams; toss them gently to maintain their tender texture and coat them evenly with the sauce. Your delicious seasoned clams are now ready!
Step 6
In a pot of boiling water, add the Nongshim Nest Naengmyeon noodles and any accompanying toppings. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for about 3 minutes, or until the noodles are perfectly cooked and chewy. Avoid overcooking to maintain a pleasant texture.
Step 7
Once the noodles are cooked, quickly drain them in a colander. Rinse them thoroughly under cold running water to remove all the heat. Shake off any excess water until the noodles are completely dry. Place the drained noodles into a serving bowl. Generously spoon the Nongshim Nest Naengmyeon’s special bibim sauce over the noodles and mix everything together thoroughly until the noodles are well coated.
Step 8
Finally, artfully arrange the seasoned clams on top of the well-mixed bibim naengmyeon. Your beautiful and delicious Clam Nest Bibim Naengmyeon is now complete! Enjoy this fantastic dish.
