This is a recipe for clam and vegetable fried rice. It’s a simple yet flavorful dish packed with the taste of the sea! Fresh vegetables and chewy clams come together to create a truly addictive meal. Perfect for a special occasion or a quick, satisfying meal.
Main Ingredients- 10 canned clams (drained)
- 1/2 head of cabbage (chopped)
- 1/8 onion (finely diced)
- 1/3 stalk of green onion (chopped)
- 2 bowls of cooked rice
Seasoning- 1 Tbsp anchovy sauce
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp anchovy sauce

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, let’s prepare the vegetables for the fried rice. Chop the cabbage into approximately 1cm cubes, and finely dice the onion. Preparing the vegetables like this ensures they cook evenly and have a pleasant texture.
Step 2
Heat a generous amount of cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the prepared cabbage and onion, and stir-fry until they become translucent, which brings out their natural sweetness. Once the vegetables are partially cooked, add the drained canned clams and stir-fry together. Be careful not to overcook the clams, as they can become tough. Just a quick sauté is best.
Step 3
When the vegetables and clams are well stir-fried, add the minced garlic and chopped green onion. Continue to stir-fry for about 1 minute until fragrant. Finally, add the 2 bowls of warm cooked rice and gently break apart any clumps with your spatula as you stir-fry.
Step 4
Stir-fry the rice until it becomes slightly dry, then add about 2 tablespoons of water to help soften the rice. Next, add 1 tablespoon of anchovy sauce and 1 tablespoon of soy sauce. Mix well to ensure the seasoning is evenly distributed throughout the rice. Using anchovy sauce will add a wonderful umami depth, making the fried rice even more delicious.
Step 5
Now, continue to stir-fry everything together for another 2-3 minutes until all ingredients are well combined. Stir-fry until each grain of rice is coated with the sauce. This will result in a perfectly seasoned clam fried rice. Before turning off the heat, taste and add a little more soy sauce if needed.
