Step 2
First, finely chop the green onion to use as a garnish. Lightly beat the eggs in a bowl. Mie Goreng ramen portions are typically not very large, so adding two extra eggs makes for a more substantial and satisfying meal. It also enhances the overall flavor. Don’t forget to put the water on to boil for the noodles.
Step 3
Heat a frying pan over high heat for about 3 minutes. Add the cooking oil and pour in the beaten eggs to make scrambled eggs. The seasoning packet that comes with Mie Goreng ramen is quite flavorful on its own, so I find that I don’t need to season the eggs separately; they are perfectly balanced when eaten with the ramen.
Step 4
While the water is boiling, add the noodles to the boiling water and cook for about 3 minutes. Be careful not to overcook the noodles.
Step 5
Return the frying pan used for the scrambled eggs to medium-high heat. Add all three types of flavored oil that come with the Mie Goreng ramen. Add the cooked noodles and stir-fry them together. Once stir-fried, add the scrambled eggs, and finally, drizzle in the 1/2 Tbsp of sesame oil, mixing everything well to combine.
Step 6
Transfer the finished stir-fried ramen to a serving bowl. Garnish with the prepared sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Your delicious Mie Goreng ramen is complete and makes for a perfect quick meal!
Step 7
Sometimes you crave noodles but find soup-based ramen a bit too heavy, right? Stir-fried ramen is a fantastic light option for those moments.
