- 1 Tbsp vinegar
- 2 Tbsp maesilcheong (plum extract)
- 1.5 tsp toasted sesame seeds, ground
Cooking Instructions
Step 1
Begin by preparing your fresh vegetables. Wash them thoroughly. Julienne the carrot and cucumber into thin strips. Shred the regular cabbage and red cabbage similarly. Finely chop the perilla leaves to add their aromatic flavor.

Step 2
Now, let’s make the delicious sauce. In a bowl, combine the gochujang, vinegar, plum extract, and ground toasted sesame seeds. Mix well with a spoon until all the ingredients are smoothly incorporated into a flavorful sauce.

Step 3
Finally, assemble your vibrant Tuna Hoe Deopbap! Place the warm cooked rice into a serving bowl. Artfully arrange the julienned carrots, cucumber, shredded cabbages, chopped perilla leaves, and fresh baby greens on top of the rice. Drizzle your desired amount of the prepared sauce over the ingredients. Finish with a sprinkle of shredded seaweed and a drizzle of sesame oil for a truly irresistible dish. Enjoy mixing everything together and savoring the taste!
