A Special Curry with Tuna and Shrimp
Tired of the same old curry every day? This recipe was developed out of a desire to try something new and exciting. Enjoy a rich, flavorful curry that’s easy for anyone to make, featuring a unique combination of ingredients.
Main Ingredients- 1/4 onion, diced
- 1 small potato, diced
- 1 small can of tuna, drained
- 10 shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 Tbsp canola oil
Seasoning- 2 curry roux blocks (follow package instructions)
- Pinch of black pepper

Cooking Instructions
Step 1
First, prepare all your ingredients. Dice the potato and onion into bite-sized pieces, about 1.5cm cubes. Thoroughly drain the oil from the tuna can. Peel and devein the shrimp, then gently pat them dry.
Step 2
Heat 1 tablespoon of canola oil in a pot or deep pan over medium heat. Add the diced potatoes and onions and sauté for about 3-5 minutes, until the onions turn translucent and lightly golden. This step helps to bring out the flavors of the ingredients.
Step 3
Once the onions become translucent, add the drained tuna and prepared shrimp to the pot. Stir and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until the shrimp turn a vibrant pink and are cooked through. You’ll start to smell a delicious aroma as the ingredients meld together.
Step 4
Pour 1 cup (approx. 200ml) of water into the pot with the sautéed ingredients. Once the water begins to boil, add the 2 curry roux blocks and stir well to dissolve them, ensuring there are no lumps. Finally, season with a pinch of black pepper for added aroma, and simmer for about 3-5 minutes, or until the curry thickens to your desired consistency. Your delicious tuna and shrimp curry is ready!
