Ingredients
  • 1 packet Ramen noodles
  • 1 Frozen pork cutlet
  • Cooking oil (for frying)
  • 1/4 Onion
  • 1/4 Scallion (green onion)
  • 1 Egg

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Start by preparing your frozen pork cutlet. Heat a generous amount of cooking oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Fry the pork cutlet on both sides until it’s golden brown and crispy. Cooking it slowly ensures the inside is cooked through and tender.

Step 2

Prepare the vegetables for the ramen. Thinly slice the onion and finely chop the scallion. You can also add some chopped chili peppers for a spicy kick, if you like.

Step 3

Pour water into a pot for the ramen and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, add the sliced onions first. This step helps to create a cleaner and richer broth, essentially making a quick vegetable stock.

Step 4

When the water is at a rolling boil, add the ramen soup base and dried vegetable flakes. Stir to dissolve them, then add the ramen noodles. Cook for exactly 2 minutes to prevent the noodles from becoming too soft.

Step 5

After 2 minutes of cooking the noodles, prepare the egg. Lightly whisk the egg with chopsticks and gently pour it into the hot ramen in a swirling motion. It’s important to pour it gently so it forms delicate strands.

Step 6

After adding the egg, sprinkle the chopped scallions over the top as a garnish. Cook for just 30 more seconds, then turn off the heat. The residual heat from the pot will gently cook the egg and finish softening the noodles. Don’t worry, the star ingredient – the pork cutlet – is still coming!

Step 7

Cut the fried pork cutlet into bite-sized pieces that are easy to eat with the ramen. This makes it convenient to pick up and enjoy with every slurp.

Step 8

Now, it’s time to assemble your delicious creation! Arrange the crispy pork cutlet pieces attractively on top of the ramen. Serve with kimchi or pickled radish on the side for an extra treat. Your special weekend Pork Cutlet Ramen is ready to be enjoyed!
